History guitars are built in Japan at the famed Fujigen guitar factory exclusively for the Shimamura music store in Japan. I find History guitars to be of the highest quality and playability.
This is a special model and ranks as one of the earliest Fujigen built History guitars I've come across.
The GH-FF is a full hollow body. It started with a solid piece of Honduras mahogany that was hollowed out by hand (you can see the tool marks through the f-holes), then a 2-piece carved maple top was added. The model was only available for a few years and last appeared in a catalog in 2008.
It has a scale of 25.25"
Weight is 5.8 pounds
Neck measurements are
Width - 1.67" at the nut, 2.04" at the 12th fret
Depth - .80" at the nut, .88" at the 12th fret.
The combination of low output humbucker pickups, wrap tail bridge and a small, full hollowbody is a combination that's rare. And I love the offset dot inlays down the rosewood fretboard.
I would describe the condition as good to very good. There is some light playwear and the gold hardware has tarnished a bit.
Includes the original, History branded hard shell case.
