House brand of the famed Fujigen guitar factory in Japan. The MSA Masterfield series is a relatively small semi-hollow build. With a 15" body width, it's smaller than a 335 and just slightly larger than a 339.
The build specs of a Masterfield semi-hollow are a bit different than what you will find in a typical one. The core of the body is a single piece of mahogany that is hollowed out leaving a solid center piece and sides (see pic for an example). From there a flame maple top and back is attached. The neck is also mahogany. The finish is a thin poly base coat with a final top coat of lacquer. Pickups are Fujigen made Alnico 3 humbuckers.
This particular guitar has a beautiful blonde finish over a nicely figured 1 piece flame maple top and back. Build quality is typical Fujigen that I find to be Custom Shop quality. Weight and neck specs are:
Weight - 6.5 pounds
Neck width - 1.72" at the nut, 2.11" at the 12th fret
Neck Depth - 0.83" at the nut, 0.97" at the 12th fret
I would describe the condition as very good with only slight playwear. Frets have a little wear, especially under the G & B strings, but not enough to affect playability or need any attention, IMO.
Original Hard Case and warranty card is included.
