This is a guitar I bought directly from the builder, Strange Guitars in Evansville, IN more than 10 years ago. It is the very first one made and I do not know how many were produced, but I guess very few. I also have no idea if they are still building guitars.
It is an original concept that pays tribute to the iconic Buck Owens Red White and Blue Telecaster and Evel Knievel. As a child of the 70s who watched Hee Haw and every jump Evel attempted, I was immediately drawn to it.
It's much more than a tribute showpiece, though. It plays and sounds great with a single Gretsch Filtertron pickup and one of the most comfortable, soft V shaped necks I have encountered. Here is a demo video of this exact guitar:
