SGs have never been a style that I have bonded with. However, so many of my favorite artists play one, I feel like I should have at least one in the stable.
Edwards is a brand that I have a ton of experience with, and they seldom fail to impress. So I'm excited to give this SG a try. I believe that it is a 2004 model since it has not inked serial number on the back and the new model press release for this particular model (E-SG-85LT2) was dated 10/2004. A little later, the model number was changed form 85 to 90 to reflect a price increase. Here is a link to the original Edwards spec page:

Arrival Update
The SG has quite a bit more wear than I expected, but that's OK, I wasn't looking for pristine. And it needed a very deep cleaning (which happens sometime with guitars imported from Japan). But once I got it cleaned up, the fretboard oiled and new strings installed, I found a very light and toneful guitar. I'm not a big fan of the Duncan JB/59 combo, but the set seems to work in this guitar, perhaps as a result of the thin and very light mahogany. This is one I could take to the smokiest dive bar with no fears whatsoever.
