Gone but not Forgotten
The Super Real Grecos were made for only 2 years, 1980 and 1981.
Patterned after a '56 single cut, this Greco EG-800 brings great P-90 tone in a fantastic vintage MIJ guitar.
I received this guitar without its original pickups, unfortunately. And the pickups it did come with, a pair of Duncans, did not sound very good to me. So I installed a set of Wolfetone P-90s (Mean in the neck, Meaner in the bridge) and that made all the difference.
This Greco is in very good shape for a 40 year old guitar with only minor playwear. There are a couple of pencil-tip sized ding on the front. The bridge tone knob is a little stiff, but works as it should.
