I have come across these Washburn Wing models over the years, and they've always intrigued me. Washburn Falcon, Eagle and Wing are all in my Reverb Search list.
This one popped up over the weekend, and it just so happens was being sold by Midwest Buy & Sell, a music store in Chicago that I've frequented over the years with my Chicago friends. I knew there was a chance that they would be making a stop in MW B&S, so I asked them to make a reasonable offer.
I'm not exactly sure when I'll get a chance to grab it, but my buddies are having a ball with it.
It appears to be an Eagle Model B based on this website:
I really like the look and build with a through neck, maple body wings, string through bridge reminiscent of a Hamer Sustain Block and really cool brass ring fretboard inlays. I'm unsure if the pickups are original, but will find that out when it's in hand.
